Grandparents love to spoil kids. I think this is one of life's undisputed facts. One of the ways my parents spoil our girls is to bring plastic baggies with Ama's homemade cookie dough and make cut-out cookies with them. My mom has devised a method to paint the cookies using egg yolk and food coloring with q-tips for brushes. She started doing this with Lucia when Lucia was just a year and a half old, and now is continuing the tradition with Magdalena too.
While Lucia's coloring attempts remain fairly neat, it would seem that Magdalena likes to finger paint more than q-tip paint. Here are some photos of their last cookie-making adventure.
