Lucia first went to daycare at ~7.5 months. Although she did great right away, the first couple of days were tough as we left her and she was even a bit overwhelmed (i.e. crying) when we picked her up. But Magdalena was just a week over 1 month, and has not yet experienced stranger anxiety yet. So she did just great being with our wonderful daycare providers.
Lucia seems to love having Magdalena at daycare with her. Apparently one day, Christina (owner) was walking around with Magdalena and stepped outside for a sec (the weather has been beautiful this past week in Portland). Lucia jumped up and started shouting "That's MY baby!" What a responsible big sister!
At any rate, this allows us to have a little more intimate family weekdays while I'm working part time, and give the girls exposure to the fun times at daycare. And I did take them both to the park on Thursday upon picking them up - put Magdalena in the bjorn and Lucia ran around and played. It was fun, Magdalena and I even went down the slide a few times.
Here is Lucia on a different park day (today) with Dada - he took both girls today, and she was "cooking" at this little plastic opening/window in one of the play structures:
