Yes, that's right. We did NOT make a huge bird, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and all the trimmings. We DID make homemade pizza with a lovely pinot noir and topped it off with a delicious
pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting, and my mom's famous homemade chocolate strata dessert. It was Deee-Lish!
Lu loves Dada's pizza!
Thank you for slaving over the pizza, honey!
And our lovely Abbot's Table Pinot:
Cheers to Pizza for Thanksgiving! And much to be thankful for, especially our wonderful family:
Even Mom got into the spirit - drinking some sugared up Pernod (it smells like anise, which is like catnip for my mom):
Lucia playing with my hair (she kept asking "Mama, are you okay?" while she did it):
What a cutie:
Just can't stay away...
Here Lucia and Magdalena Measure Up (just shy of 3', and just shy of 2'):
I love this one of our family:
Today, my mom graciously babysat the kids with my Aunt Debbie, and Dad, Alex, and I went wine tasting. We toured Adelsheim (overpriced, and not that great), Ayers (very good and terrific ambiance), and Brick House (great wines, but EXTREMELY crowded). We met up with Linden, E Ben, and Linden's brother & his girlfriend at Brick House.
This would be great if Alex didn't look so disturbed:
This would be great if the light played better on my face:
Oh, and here are just some great pics from the past few days.
Dada and Magdalena - whatcha lookin' at Lena?
Lu loves her shades (she wants to wear glasses like Dada):
Big Sister helping Little Sister:
Grinning and Drooling like a fool:
