Hospitality Sunday

Yesterday Alex, Lucia, and I went to Mass at St Williams in Hanalei. Fortunately for us, it was the 2nd Sunday of the month, which happens to be Hospitality Sunday! After Mass, there was a nice big breakfast of eggs, waffles, quiche, melon, muffins, sandwiches, and biscotti. Lu ate muffins and fruit, and Alex and I had sandwiches, quiche, eggs, melon, and he had waffles. It was nice to be part of their little community - though it turns out that about 70% of each service is made up of visitors!

In the afternoon we went to the Hanalei beach - definitely our favorite so far! We put up the umbrella and sat in the shade, then went into the water - even Lucia went in with Mama ("Mama's Gotcha, It's Okay!") - she wouldn't let Alex hold her in the water, probably because of his history of trying to get her to put her feet in (she hates that!). But she was fine up to her shoulders holding onto me, and she'd even put her arms around my neck and kick her little legs in the water. It was nice inlet so the water was calm, and we had fun playing in the "Nice waves." A very hospitable day!
