We've been having a fun past few days. On Monday we drove around the island to the Waimea Canyon. It is actually only a few miles southwest (left) of us here in Hanalei, but because the road doesn't go completely around the island, we had to head east/south/west/north to get there. On the way back, we stopped at a beautiful lookout near our town that we'd been meaning to stop at for a while. There are sculpted fields of greens and taro in the view, very nice.
Tuesday we took a walk in the morning in the nearby "resort-ish" town of Princeville. Princeville reminds me of Sunriver, some houses older, some newer, with a nice bike/footpath, a kids' park and a nice shopping area. We do all our grocery shopping at the Foodsave there.
Today is Alex's birthday!! Lucia and I engaged in endless rounds of "Happy Birthday To You" all day long - Lucia just LOVES that song. And at the beach this afternoon, Alex got Lu to sit on the boogie board in the water, which she ended up really liking.
Here are some photos from the past few days. Enjoy!

Here is the fam at Waimea Canyon - looks like a miniature and green Grand Canyon. Lu had peed through her diaper, and I was trying to air out her shorts - you can see them hanging on the fence in the bottom left hand side of the photo:

I just like this one because you can see how I hold Lu with the baby belly. This is from our walk Tuesday morning.
