Closet Play

Lucia has enjoyed playing hide-and-seek in our hall closet since we returned from China. It didn't take long for Magdalena to catch on, and after hoisting her in there, we'd hear giggles and cries of "Where's Lucia and Magdalena" emanating from the closet - requiring us, naturally, to pretend to look all over the house until we FINALLY swung the closet door open to reveal our gleeful daughters!

Last weekend, Magdalena was the one to initiate closet play - and I finally captured a photo.

From Blog All Five

Note the eye-patch on Magdalena's eye. We were told by the optometrist at her appointment in mid-August that her right eye (the one with the weak superior muscle) is actually her preferred eye (could have guessed that since the left was the one pulled shut at birth), and we needed to patch it for 1-2 hours a day until her surgery (Sept 14). At first she was very reluctant to wearing the "Eye Band-Aid" ("No eye band-aid!"), and we had to secure it with surgical tape, but after a few weeks she got over that and now does not protest at all when we put it on. She actually has been known to protest the removal of the eye band-aid!
