Mommy Play Group at Shama Luxe, Kaifaqu

I have been going to a Wednesday morning playgroup at the Shama Luxe service apartments in Kaifaqu (Downtown Development Area, in between where we live in Jinshitan and downtown Dalian) since I arrived. The moms there are great, super resourceful, supportive, and fun. Pretty much all the moms that attend this group have at least one kid under the age of 3, so it is right on target for Lucia and Magdalena's age group(s).

The other Wednesday we had a baby shower for a German mom who is due with her second baby in May. She already has a son who is about 20 months, and now will be having a girl. Apparently they don't really do baby showers in Germany, so we all brought gifts and food and had a great time. One of the ladies loves photography, and she sent me some of the shots that she took. You can see the playroom at Shama is great - lots of overstuffed toys and a little ball "pool" - Lucia loves to go and "play with the kids."
