The Stocking List

As many of you know, we had a "Summer Bucket" list this past summer - a list of all the things we'd like to do over the summer.  The idea was that this would help us plan our weekends and outings rather than just going to the same place all the time.  It worked pretty well - we did some fun things that we had never done before (berry picking, Enchanted Forest, etc).  So I decided to create a winter "Stocking List" with the same idea.  It is much shorter, and here's how we're doing on it so far:

Lights at the Grotto - done!
Peacock Lane - not yet
Zoo Lights - done! (twice!)
EE Christmas Party - done!
Christmas cookies - partially done :-)
Alpenrose Dairy Storybook Lane - TBD soon
See Santa - done!
Christmas lights drive - the real one is yet to come...
Christmas Ship Parade - done!
Kids Holiday Show at school - done!
Lucia's Winterglow concert for Girlchoir - done!

A few more things to do, but here are some pics from some of these activities.  (BTW, we also got an Elf on the Shelf this year, and I have included some pics of its funny hiding spots!)
Just a cute one of JP and our tunnel :-)

Another cute one of JP :-)
Holiday Show! Magdalena wasn't totally thrilled to be up there (just like last year)

Unfortunately, M started to fade... But Lucia is doing great!

Our family at the Holiday Show
Elf Antics (Peter is our elf's name)

More elf antics!  Funny Peter!
I just love the two expressions - like the comedy tragedy thespian mask :-)

Cuties!  Thanks Ama for the matching dresses!

Photo courtesy of our new babysitter (she is GREAT if anyone needs a recommendation - only 15, though, so can't drive yet)
Lucia and JP enjoyed the snow on Tuesday morning

Snowball!

New one-piece winter outfit - birthday present and just in time!
Magdalena wasn't into the snow, but I finally made the red, green, and chocolate chip cookies I'd been promising the kids that day, so here she is enjoying one hot out of the oven.
Zoo train at Zoo Lights!  The kids all loved it!

Nice pic, Alex!

At Zoo Lights - it was raining, but nice to go early on a weekday to avoid the big crowds. Home for a pizza dinner!

Two best girl friends!

  1. That one of Magdalena and Lucia's silliness is classic. Way to get out there and be festive with 3 kids in tow. Not easy.
