This is just a quick post to say that we have returned safe and sound to Portland, OR! We flew in last Monday the 28th and are now in the process of unpacking and reorganizing our home. Alex returns to work tomorrow, Mon April 4, and also tomorrow Magdalena will have her first in the series of eye doctor appointments in preparation for her summer surgery.
No new pictures yet, and I still need to post a bit more about the wedding we attended our last weekend in China, but did want to get the word out there that we are HOME and looking forward to reconnecting with friends and family.
Quick first impressions: it is wetter, though clearer here. It s much more expensive and tipping is annoying, though the ease of communication and ability to drive ourselves is appreciated. We are happy to see friends and family (especially my parents who have been monumental in helping with the girls), but we miss do China and our friends and routine there. Who knows when we'll be back?
