Happy Birthday to Jude!

Last Sunday was Jude Cornett's first birthday. Jude is the son of Linden & E Ben Cornett, our very good friends (blogspot at Cornett & Company). Lucia had a blast playing with Halina Sosnowski and just in general running around E Ben's mom's terrific and huge back yard.

Lucia prepared for Jude's birthday by singing him Happy Birthday many times. We got this one on video - admittedly not her best attempt, but not too bad:

Eating lots of good food (chips and caramel corn, strawberries, cake, pulled pork):

Hanging with Dada as he photographs us with the film camera and Chippy's rented super duper alley-ooper lens:

I told the girls that sticking these pegs in their mouth was dirty - they could have dog poop on them!

So they decided to get some soapy water (not sure who provided this) and wash them!

They soon moved on to cups... I have to take advantage of this housekeeping instinct of Lucia's while it lasts!

And for the road - going back a few days to Sasha & Cameron's wedding, here is Alex & me getting ready to go:

And here I am with Natalie and Francesca - three pregnant bellies at once (Fran is due Oct 2 with a boy, Nat due Nov 12 with a Baby, and I'm due Oct 3 with a Baby):
