Lucia and Magdalena have recently started watching Diego and the Rescuers (didn't like Dora the Explorer so much), and now they're hooked. They both know all the songs and constantly beg to watch these movies. Sad as it is to say, we tend to indulge them on Saturday mornings, and in the hour that I am cooking dinner (sometimes a half hour after that to finish the show). Lucia didn't watch ANY television/movies, etc, until she was 20 months, and then only because we were sick in Hawaii and she needed something to entertain her. After that, she didn't watch much until we went to China and started taking the digi player on the plane and long car trips. Gradually she got to watch more movies over there around age 2 1/2-3 1/2.

This, however, meant that Magdalena basically has grown up watching movies. We don't turn on the regular TV often (ever?), so at least they are not getting the commercials and other non-kid-friendly media influences. But they sure do watch a lot of other movies. Curious George, Thomas the Train, Diego, Smurfs, and the myriad of Disney, Pixar, and Hayao Miyazaki anime movies... Magdalena has even started to mention the movies she watched that day in her nightly thank you prayer to Jesus (Me: "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for letting Magdalena have a good day today. We got to go to the park..." Magdalena: "Thomas!" Me: "Yes, we got to watch Thomas, we got to read some books and go to the library..." Magdalena: "George!" Me: "No honey, George was yesterday...").

Anyway, this is a long winded explanation for the title of this blog. Apparently Diego had some phrase about "click for a pic" which Lucia told me on Saturday when we went for a very long walk to Healy Heights Park at the top south side of Council Crest (about 1.25 mile walk there, another 1.25 back) when she didn't want to take a nap and Magdalena was sleeping. And this phrase inspired me to put together this collage of the girls in their new matching outfits from Ama - so hard (nearly impossible!) to get them BOTH looking at the camera in a cute pose at the same time!
