All three of our children were baptized on the same feast day - the Feast of the Holy Family, which is always celebrated on the Sunday after Christmas (or on Christmas, as it was last year - guess it's the last Sunday in December). Though the date has not always been the same, we decided to celebrate their Baptisms this year by lighting all three of their Baptismal candles and eating cake! I made a delicious gingerbread cake with lemon zest frosting, complete with colorful sprinkles for the kids, and we sang "Happy Baptism Day" to the tune of Happy Birthday. All the kids enjoyed the cake, and we plan to continue this tradition of celebrating their official initiation into God's kingdom. :-)

| Magdalena (middle candle) |
| Lucia (shortest candle, only one with different insignia as she was baptized at St Mary's Cathedral, whereas Magdalena and John Paul were both baptized at St Thomas More. |
| JP wasn't sure what to make of it! |
| I had to help Magdalena blow hers out at the end, her blow is more like "Ffffffeeeeewwwwwww!!!" |
| M had to eat her spinach risotto (most of it, at least) before she could get cake. She did! |
| JP ate his food! |
| Lucia ate both her dinner and cake with relish! |
