Last week the girls' pre-school took a field trip to the
Plumper Pumpkin Patch down Old Cornelius Pass Road in Hillsboro. Alex and I both took time off work to go on the outing, and we all had a great time!
With Mama:
And now with Daddy:
Playing with the Bear:
After lunch, there was a short presentation on the different types of pumpkins (Lucia liked the white Ghost Pumpkin and the small white Baby Boo!). We got a friend to take a family photo:
This family pic is a bit better - doesn't display my belly so much :-) - and it was on the Hay Ride which came next:
After the Hay Ride, we got to pet the animals and play outside for a while. Magdalena especially loved the goats:
Lucia really loved this LOOONNNNGGGG tunnel slide:
Next up was a hay maze and climbing stack, seeing some baby piglets and chicks, and going to the patch where we each got to pick out a medium sized pumpkin. Since I had already purchased a bigger one for a jack-o-lantern, I think we'll just be cooking these "sugar pies" to make yummy food!
